Think Big! – 3 Essential Steps To Set And Achieve Big Goals

Dear All,

Please find below a good article for your reading:

Think Big! – 3 Essential Steps To Set And Achieve Big Goals

You have probably heard the phrase “Think big.”
Now let me complete it, “Think big, act bigger.”
Thinking big is great, and essential for making any progress in life. But if the thought is not followed by immediate action, it becomes first a wish, and then after some time, another source of frustration in your life. Another “I could, I should, I didn’t” that will stay with you for the rest of your life.
Then, is it worth it to think big?
Absolutely, but you must do it the right way if you want to achieve big results. After meeting some people who have achieved big things in life, I have discovered three steps that are essential to successfully unlocking the power of thinking big in your life.

1. Get comfortable with the “You” factor

First of all, you must dare to see yourself in the biggest situations and achieving the biggest goals. If the “you” factor is missing or blurry, the equation is not going to work.
Take all the time you need to find the reasons why you are unable to see yourself in better situations. This might be uncomfortable to do and may require some time and commitment. But if you open up, you will start looking directly at some of the personal elements that are limiting your progress.
Finding them and looking at them are the first steps toward making them vanish, and realizing that you already have all that you need to achieve whatever you want in life. If you clearly know your strong and weak points, you will be capable of finding a way that allows you to reach your destination with them. If you don’t know them, you’ll just see other people achieving what you want by using some of your weak points, and then you’ll just end up thinking that it’s impossible for you, given your circumstances.
There are never two identical paths to the same destination. Never. The thing that will take you anywhere is knowing yourself. With that knowledge, you will be able to design the path most suited to the person you are. If you just follow the path of others blindly, you will either get lost along the way or struggle with trying to become like them. If you don’t know yourself or the paths others have followed, you simply won’t know how to start and will even lose faith about whether it is possible to reach the destination.
Remember, there is always a way for you to achieve your bigger goals. It already exists, but you won’t be able to see it until the moment you know yourself enough.

2. Think bigger

If the thought doesn’t make you feel uncomfortable, then you are not thinking big enough.
Whatever your thought or goal is, ask yourself, “If this was the last goal I would ever achieve in my life, the thing I want to be remembered by, would I do it bigger?”
“What would I love to add to it?”
“What would my actions be in that case?”
You have to push your thought muscles further.
They work like any other muscles. If they get used to perform at a comfortable, average level, they tend to stay there. The more you push them, the more bigger thinking becomes your natural state. But you have to keep pushing them if you don’t want to get stuck and lose your drive and inspiration. The beautiful thing is to keep pushing perpetually, and verify for yourself that there are no limits.

3. Take immediate action

The thought must be followed by immediate action. Otherwise, the possibility of it going rotten inside your mind increases dramatically. One of the worst things that can happen to you is to think about something big, see and feel yourself in that beautiful situation, and then not take any action and just let it wait on your “Someday” list forever.
There is no someday, there is now or never.
You are always taking steps towards one direction or another. If you don’t direct your steps towards what you really want now, one day you will realize that you are further from it than you were before. Remember, “The best time to plant a tree was 10 years ago, but the second best time is NOW.”

Some Quality Traits All Introverts Have, Even If They Don’t Know It

Dear All,

Please find below a good article for your reading:

Some Quality Traits All Introverts Have, Even If They Don’t Know It

Some people assume introverts are socially anxious, but that’s not the case. Introverts just don’t handle social stimulation as well as extroverts do. If you’re an introvert and you feel down about it, this article will make you feel better. Check out these ten quality traits of introverts that you didn’t even know you have.

1. Introverts are good listeners.

Introverts listen before they speak. They watch from the sidelines and take some mental notes before they insert themselves into any social situation. This preparation allows them to enter a conversation confidently, without stumbling over their words or doubting the accuracy of what they say.

2. Introverts are self-sufficient.

Introverts are not dependent people. They believe it is foolish to depend on another person to take care of their material needs. This freedom makes them feel empowered, because they know they can manage any curve ball that life might throw at them.

3. Introverts are super focused.

Introverts concentrate with everything they’ve got. They make a point of paying attention to nonverbal cues that might reveal hidden meanings, because they know words are only half of the story. This ability helps them avoid potential misunderstandings.

4. Introverts are easy to please.

Introverts don’t need much to feel happy and content. They would rather stay home and enjoy a good book or bubble bath than go to a loud bar and buy expensive drinks. This distinction helps them save money and relax after stressful days.

5. Introverts are very observant.

Introverts identify changes in their environment very quickly. They will probably be the first person to notice a new haircut. This often causes their friends and coworkers to thank them for being so thoughtful.

6. Introverts are good at studying.

Introverts believe knowledge is power. They are intensely interested in the things that they care about and want to learn everything they can. This eagerness helps them become experts in their fields.

7. Introverts are trustworthy people.

Introverts can keep secrets. They know how hard it can be to trust somebody, so they won’t share a personal detail if you don’t want them to. This is exactly why introverts are excellent best friends.

8. Introverts are committed to their goals.

Introverts tend to be driven and disciplined. They don’t need approval from external sources, so they direct their energy to the pursuit of an ambitious goal instead. This ambition often turns introverts into highly successful people.

9. Introverts are in touch with their feelings.

Introverts are masters of their emotions. They reflect until they are able to understand the triggers that are responsible for their negative thoughts. This retrospection helps them dig deep enough to deal with entrenched self-defeating beliefs that limit their potential.

10. Introverts are thought-provoking when you get them talking.

Introverts have interesting things to say. They might not be fans of small talk, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be engaging in a deep discussion. This distinction is a common source of confusion. Introverts are often considered to be “quiet,” but that’s not because they don’t like people. They just don’t like to talk about trivial things. Introverts are passionate people who want to make the most of their days, so they’d rather not waste their time with a shallow conversation. If you want to find out how fascinating an introvert can be, simply ask them an intelligent question about a topic that they care about.
Do you see any of these ten traits of introverts in yourself? If so, tally up how many of these traits are true for you and tell us your score in the comments and share this article with your friends so they can join the fun, too.

use of face book

Dear All,

Kindly find below a good article for your reading:

Use Facebook (And Messenger) In A Way Most People Don’t Know

Whether you’re a casual or seasoned social media user, you might not know about these Facebook tricks, productivity hacks, and amusing flourishes. Both Facebook and its ancillary communications app, Messenger, are full of small surprises that can bring new dimensions of interactivity to your social media experience. The next time you’re catching up on your news feed or chatting with your friends through Messenger, remember to try out these little feature hacks and tricks.

1. Instant photos

If you’ve accidentally triggered this on Messenger, then it can be really creepy. This app allows you to instantly shoot a photo by tapping once on the screen. This gives you the direct ability to quickly send multimedia to your contacts, by passing the shoot and review processes. However, this can be quite jarring if you send your peers an accidental selfie without understanding the feature.

2. Unfollow

Do you want to stop receiving a person’s posts in your news feed, but you’d feel uncomfortable “unfriending” them? For example, you might be tired of your aunt’s political posts, but unfriending her could cause some tension at your next family dinner. Instead, just navigate to the person’s profile and uncheck the “following” button. Then you won’t have to see their posts unless you go directly to their profile page.

3. Post analytics

Curious to see how well a Page post is doing? Navigate to the bottom of the post and click on the text that says, “# of people reached.” You’ll get access to analytics about this particular post, including how much engagement it has received. You’ll also get to see the engagement rates of the shared versions, just so you can trace the ripple effect of engagement.

4. Quick image search

Are you addicted to sending your friends internet memes? Or perhaps you want to quickly attach a photo of a product during your Messenger chat. This communications app allows you to quickly look for images using a built-in Bing search and send the results directly to your friends.

5. See how advertisers are targeting you

You know those sidebar advertisements you see on Facebook’s desktop view? You can pull back the veil and see exactly why you’ve been targeted for a particular ad. Just click the little “X” on the ad and choose “Why am I seeing this?” You’ll get a brief explanation of how these ads came to appear on your sidebar.

6. Video messaging

Remember that instant photo screen on Messenger? Well, you can also shoot video by holding your finger down on the “Send” button.

7. Gigantic “like”

This might seem a little obnoxious, but now you can reply to Messenger chats with a gigantic version of the “Like” icon. Maybe you can use it to indicate your massive approval of an idea.

8. Pinned group chats

Do you want to save an important group chat session for later? Visit the Groups tab in Messenger to pin a select group of people. This will help you quickly access the group chat so that you don’t have to individually add each recipient.

9. Go nuts with Stickers

Messenger takes emoting to an entirely new level. Send your friends those whimsical Pusheen cats or open up the Sticker Store so that you can play around with thousands of emoting stickers created by companies like Pixar, Cartoon Network, and LEGO.

10. “Other” messages

If you’re not connected with someone on Facebook and they attempt to send you a message, then their correspondence will fall into the mysterious void known as the Other folder. You can find this inbox by visiting Facebook on a computer, clicking on your messages, and selecting the “Other” tab. You can change your preferences so that it uses strict or basic filtering for your inbox.

11. Send Attachments

Who needs email anymore? When you compose new messages on Facebook from a computer browser, you can send a wide variety of attachments, such as PDFs or Word documents. Just click the little gear icon and select “Add Files.”

12. Censor tagged posts

You might not want every single post you’re tagged in to appear on your news feed. Visit the “Timeline and tagging” section of your privacy settings, and click on “Review posts friends tag you in before they appear on your timeline.” Whenever someone attempts to tag you in a post, you’ll need to manually approve it before others can view the tag.

13. Post as a Page

If you are the owner of Pages (for organizations, businesses, etc), then you can select how you post on other Pages. Just click on the small flag icon on the top right corner of your Post panel, and choose the Page you wish to represent. This can be a great way for you to build business-to-business communications.

14. Sync Calendar Events

Do you have a difficult time keeping track of Facebook events? You can sync these automatically with your mobile calendar. Just enable Calendar app access in your Facebook App settings, and you’ll be able to see Facebook events on your phone’s calendar.

15. Secret Emoji

There are tons of secret emoji that you can use in Facebook posts and comments. For example, if you feel compelled to create a great white shark, just type “(^^^). You can find several secret emoji by doing a quick Google search for key combos.

Are You Uncomfortable?

Posted: 22 Dec 2014 12:03 AM PST
Uncomfortable
No one likes to be uncomfortable.

But, there is a correlation between our growth and success in life and the discomfort we’re willing to impose on ourselves. Growth necessarily takes us outside of our comfort zone.

In a world of rapid and continual change, radical personal growth is required. We need to get used to it.

If we are going to stay relevant, we are going to be uncomfortable. If we are going to grow, we’re going to be uncomfortable. It’s difficult and unsettling. It’s just doesn’t feel right.

If a behavior or thinking has gotten us by, we just keep repeating it even if it really isn’t serving us well. We won’t take another look at our underlying assumptions until it lands us in a crisis. Typically, until we are uncomfortable, we don’t see the need to do anything different. We just keep repeating what we know until it’s too late. Staying within our comfort zone limits us.

And here’s the thing, we can put ourselves into an uncomfortable position, or in time, it will be trust upon us—and not on our terms. Every time we avoid the opportunity to grow, the stakes get higher.

Discomfort motivates us to change, to explore, to seek out new answers. It spurs on creativity. It gives us confidence. We need to learn tosystematically reassess what we are doing and look for alternatives to the way we do what we do.

Real growth happens when we go into the unknown knowing that whatever happens, we will come out a different person—even a different organization. We will no longer think and act in the same way we did before. This expands our view. Provides us with new opportunities. Previously unseen solutions.

Richard Branson says, “If your vision is to reach a distant beach where, because of the reefs surrounding it, no one has ever set foot, then the chances are that reading the same old charts as everyone else has used isn’t going to get you there either.”

When it comes to leadership, we’ve been reading the same charts for too long. Running over the same old ground. We must develop the discipline to challenge—our beliefs, our assumptions, and our “tried and true” responses.

things you should insist

Please find below a good article for your reading:

Things You Should Insist on No Matter What People Say

Life can get pretty crazy at times. Sometimes we forget how important it is to actually listen to ourselves instead of others. Happiness is dependent upon ourselves, and there are some things in life you should always insist on doing- no matter what others have to say about it. Here is a list of 20 things you should always do.

1. Insist on chasing your dreams

future_belongs_to_quote_1324758210
To some people your dreams might sound far-fetched, completely unobtainable, or downright silly. No matter what other people say to you, always insist on following your dreams. If you give in, or rather, give up on your dreams, you will never know what could have happened. You only have one life to live, so you might as well give it everything you’ve got. Forget the haters.

2. Insist on being the bigger person

All situations and arguments are not created equally. Being the bigger person will ultimately make you feel better. Other people might disagree and say you should have fought back, or whatever else you should have done, but they don’t have to live with the consequences. Be the bigger person in life and move on. Trust me, you will be the one who wins in the long run.

3. Insist on forgiveness

forgive
Forgiveness is not an easy thing. However, insisting on being forgiving will make you a happier person. Once you forgive someone you feel a weight that is lifted off your shoulders. Forgiving someone doesn’t mean you go back to the way things were before, but it does mean letting yourself move on in a positive direction—and that’s never a bad thing.

4. Insist on seeing the glass half-full

Screw that glass-half-empty view. Positivity is a powerful thing. The more positive a thinker you are, the more positive outcomes you will see in your life. Keep those negative thoughts out, and those negative people out too. There is almost always a bright side to a situation, and focusing on that will help get you through.

5. Insist on staying true to yourself

be yourself
No matter what other people say or do, you should always be true to yourself. Throughout our lives people will try to shape our ideas, or even try and get us to do things we don’t believe in, which is why you should always be true to yourself. Make decisions for yourself, and never compromise who you are.

6. Insist on only being around those who make you a better or happier person

Cut out those in your life that bring you down. Only surround yourself with people who care about you just as much as you care about them. Don’t give in to being someone’s fall back plan. It can be hard to cut people from our lives, but it is also necessary. Surrounding yourself with people who make you happy will only benefit your life.

7. Insist on learning from your mistakes

Mistakes
No matter what people say, you will make mistakes in your life. Life is a learning process in itself. Some people will make you feel bad about your mistakes, or insult you for making them. However, don’t let that stand in your way from learning from them. Accept your mistakes fully and really figure out what went wrong. Knowledge is power.

8. Insist on sticking up for what you believe in

We will all be tested at some point in life to go against what we believe in. Our morals are a strong part of who we are, and it is important to stand up for what you believe. No matter what other people say or try to influence you with, stand tall against them.

9. Insist on discarding all the drama from your life

no drama
When we are younger we all gossip and focus on the drama that goes on in the world. Growing up we learn that drama isn’t exactly as exciting as we though it was. It brings us down and actually makes life more difficult. It’s time to grow up and cut out whoever and whatever drama is taking over your life. Drama-free is the way to be!

10. Insist on letting go of the past

It’s hard to let go of the past sometimes, but it can really be affect your future. No matter what anyone has to say about it, insist on letting go of your past and previous grudges, and focus on the here and now. The past might have made you who you are, but the future holds the power to change you into who you want to be. Let go and feel the freedom that comes with it.

11. Insist on embracing change and creativity

change
A popular aphorism is,”You cannot solve a problem in the same state of consciences that created it.” Not everything can be solved in a traditional way. Change and creativity are vital in today’s world. Things are always changing, so why should we be any different? Embracing change will help you grow as a person, and bring you opportunities that you would have otherwise missed out on. Creativity allows your mind a chance to think differently and more freely. Don’t listen to what others say about how change is bad, instead make something out of it.

12. Insist on paying it forward

Not everyone is as fortunate as you might be. Try to remember that everyday. Take some time and give back to the community that you live in. Giving back will boost your mood no matter what you are going through. No matter what people might say to bring you down, just remember that you have the power to brighten someones else’s day. Always pay it forward.

13. Insist on honesty

best-friend-friendship-friends-Quotes-106
Being honest isn’t always the easiest thing to do, but it is definitely always the right thing to do. No matter what people say you should always be honest with yourself and others. Being honest will help you stay true to yourself, and you will be a better person for it. Lies can get you caught up in bad situations, relationships, and even cause inner conflict. It’s best to always insist on honesty.

14. Insist on being dedicated

Today we see a lot of those get-rich-quick scheme and lose-100-pounds-in-a-day pills. Things in life aren’t always what they appear to be, and we all know that. However, being dedicated to something will pay off. Whether you are dedicated to getting healthy, following a dream, or getting a better-paying job, we all know that time will be involved. Good things don’t just happen overnight, they take time and effort. Insisting on putting your all into something and being dedicated to the outcome you want will help you achieve your goals.

15. Insist on appreciating what you have

thankful
We can forget to take a step back and enjoy what we have in life. This can take away from our happiness. Sometimes you just need to sit back and be happy about where your life is right now, and what you have to show for it. Sure people might tell you it’s not good enough, but don’t listen to them. It is good enough, and it gives you a sense of pride when you can enjoy the things you already have in life.

16. Insist on listening to your heart

Sometimes you just need to follow your instincts and do what your heart tells you. There are some situations, like relationships, that rely more on your heart than on your head. People will surely tell you differently, but you should always insist on listening to what you want and feel. Again, you are the one who lives with your choices, and you are the one that has to live with  the “what ifs.” Sometimes you just have to follow your heart.

17. Insist on making time for yourself

626e0776b789c1b6337903a39851e88e
We get so tied up in everything that’s going on around us, and how busy our schedules are, that we forget to make time for ourselves. No matter how busy you are in your daily life, make sure to set some time aside to focus on you. You deserve it.

18. Insist on kindness

Too many people experience being bullied. It’s amazing what a small act of kindness can do for someone. Make yourself a better person and insist on being kind. You never know what someone else is going through. Being kind will also keep you more grounded in life and more positive. All these things have a positive impact on you.

19. Insist on living in the moment

life is short
In this crazy world we can all get caught up in everything except what’s happening in the moment. Take a step back and really enjoy the memories you are making. It’s nice to look back on picture of moments you had in life, but its even better to remember how you felt in that exact moment. Life your life to it’s fullest and embrace the moments.

20. Insist on finding time for pleasure

I said it before, and I will say it again: we get so caught up in everything around us that we forget to take a break—or even a breath sometimes. No matter how busy you are make sure to find some time and do something that you really enjoy. Whether that’s catching up with a good friend, reading a new book, or even watching your personal guilty pleasure on TV, just make sure you make time for it. Life goes by way too fast to not bring yourself some pleasure  everyday

steps for achieving goals

Dear All,

Please find below a good article for your reading:

Goals: We love them, we hate them, and we should never live without them. So many goals set and so little time to accomplish them or so little drive to pursue them!  How can you actually achieve your goals?
While there isn’t a magic wand that you can simply point at your goals and watch them become realities, you can definitely take steps to ensure you achieve the goals you set. Let’s explore the steps you can take but keep in mind that you are uniquely and wonderfully made; so take what you can use and tailor it to fit your needs. This isn’t a one-size-fits-all kind of deal, it’s about the journey to finding what drives you and keeps you focused on achieving the goals you set for your life.

Step 1: Believe

Believing is an interesting concept: it takes an element of knowledge and faith. You must believe that you can achieve your goals because you have the “knowledge” necessary to achieve them (if you don’t have the knowledge, get it!) and you have the “faith” to pursue them. Believing that you are capable of achieving the goals you set for yourself may be the single most important thing you can do when setting out to achieve your goals. After all, if you don’t believe in yourself, who else will? So, whatever you set your mind to, whatever goal you want to achieve, believe that you have or will have the capacity to achieve it.

Step 2: Do it anyway

At the risk of sounding oh-so-cheesy: think of Phil Collins and the song “Against All Odds” when setting out to achieve your goals. Sure, people may laugh on your face or behind your back, life may ridicule you for having a goal, and you may second guess yourself more than a dozen times, but even if you are “against all odds” when pursuing your goal, do it anyway. You have one life to live, and nothing to lose by trying. You will live no life and lose everything if you don’t try at all.
The amazing world re-known speaker Les Brown is a perfect example of this very important step; after being labeled “educable mentally retarded” Mr. Brown went on to be a broadcast station manager, political commentator and multi-term state representative in Ohio. Sure, everyone around him doubted his intelligence and capabilities, but he continued on and pressed toward his goal. When all odds seemed to have been against him, he did it anyway.

Step 3: Be fearless

Ok, so you believe you can do it, you are doing it against all odds, now, you must strive to be fearless. While there is a good chance that you’ve already messed with your comfort zone if you’ve gotten this far down the steps, in order to achieve your goals, you must cleave on to fearlessness. Why is being fearless so important? Because you will fail many times, and it is only through fearlessness that you will have the courage to face failure and say: “I am moving forward, I am pressing on.”

Step 4: Practice Persistence

In order to achieve success when setting out to reach your goals, it is imperative that you be persistent. You must be persistent not only in following all these steps but also on your strategy to achieve your goals.  Whatever plan you set for yourself in order to achieve your goals, don’t cut yourself any slack. Be persistent in the time you get up, the time you go to sleep, the time you take to plan and the time you take to dream. Persistence will not only keep you standing firm and tall in the face of failure but it will build self-control, a crucial ingredient for success!

Step 5: Be patient

Patience these days is a very rare quality. We are practically born with an inpatient gene, one that carries us through life with the expectation that because our mac & cheese is done in exactly 3 minutes, everything else in life should follow that pattern. Well, this I-want-it-now disease is your biggest threat to achieving your goals. Nothing that is worth pursuing is done in the blink of an eye; it takes times, hard work, and you must definitely be patient. When desperation for the lack of success starts to creep into your soul, practice patience and remind yourself that you have been created for greatness and are endowed with the necessary abilities to succeed in the achieving all your goals.
